Army authorities accentuated the need to heighten security along terrorist infested porous border with neighboring Jammu and Kashmir. Army sources told Hindustan Times that top officials of the army during the Civil Military conference held in Jammu and Kashmir cautioned that militant hiding in the valley could possibly cross over into border areas of Himachal Pradesh. ' Following 26/11 attack there are lots of threat" said army official.  

Shimla, Nov 20 (PTI) In the absence of rain and snow, there was marginal increase in temperature today in Himachal Pradesh, but the weather still remained cold. Shimla recorded a day temperature of 16.6 degrees Celsius in comparison to 14.8 degree Celsius yesterday, the Met office said. Night temperature in the Queen of Hills was six degrees Celsius.  

Tamil Nadu jumped into top spot win by completing a convincing victory over Punjab in Amritsar. Punjab were in deep trouble at the start of play, needing to bat most of the day with only five wickets remaining to save the match.
